This Privacy Policy explains how LeadContact collects, uses, shares, and retains personal data when you use our website, web application, Chrome extension, API, and our app in ChatGPT (collectively, the "Services"), and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who we are

LeadContact is operated by WILLING TECH PTE. LTD, a company incorporated in Singapore ("LeadContact", "we", "us", or "our"). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at any time at hello@leadcontact.ai.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide and improve the Services. Depending on how you use them, this includes:

Account information

• Your name, email address, and profile picture, provided when you sign up or sign in (including through Google Sign-In).
• If you belong to a team account: your team membership, role, and usage within that team.

Billing information

• Your plan, purchase history, invoices, and transaction status. Payments are processed by Paddle or Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Usage information

• The searches you run in the Services, such as names, companies, domains, job titles, locations, and other search criteria, and LinkedIn profile URLs you submit.
• The contacts you view, unlock, or export, and the credits consumed.

Device and log information

• IP address, browser type, device and operating system information, pages visited, referring pages, and the date and time of your requests.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Services.
• Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the Services are used.
• Advertising cookies and pixels (such as Meta Pixel and Google AdSense) to measure and personalize advertising.

Chrome extension

• When you use the extension, it reads the URL and publicly visible information on the page you are viewing (for example, a LinkedIn profile or a company website) to identify the person or company you want to look up. The extension does not collect your browsing history outside of these actions.
• Data collected through the extension is used only to provide the extension's features. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Sheets integration

• If you choose to sync data to Google Sheets, we request permission to create, view, modify, and delete the spreadsheets used for that sync. LeadContact's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

LeadContact in ChatGPT

• When you use LeadContact in ChatGPT, we do not receive your ChatGPT conversations or your ChatGPT account information. We only receive the parameters needed to complete the specific action you request (such as search criteria or a LinkedIn profile URL), together with the identifier of the LeadContact account you connected. We keep records of these actions and the API Credits charged.

Communications

• The content of emails, feedback, and survey responses you send us.

Data we do not collect

We do not request or store payment card numbers, passwords or authentication codes for third-party services, government identification numbers, or health information.

3. How we use personal data

• To provide the Services: create and manage your account, run the searches and lookups you request, and deliver results to you on our website, extension, API, or in ChatGPT.
• To process payments: manage subscriptions, credits, invoices, and refunds.
• To support you: respond to your questions and requests.
• To keep the Services secure: prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service, including enforcing usage limits.
• To improve the Services: analyze usage and fix problems.
• To communicate with you: send service notices and, where permitted, product updates and offers. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
• To comply with law: meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. How we share personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the following categories of recipients:

• Payment processors (Paddle, Stripe) to process your payments.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers that store and run the Services on our behalf.
• Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google and Meta) through the cookies described above.
• Google, when you use Google Sign-In or the Google Sheets integration.
• OpenAI, when you use LeadContact in ChatGPT: the results you request are returned to ChatGPT and are handled by OpenAI under its own privacy policy.
• Your team, if you join a team account: the account owner can see your name, email address, profile picture, and usage, and other members can see your name, email address, and profile picture.
• Authorities and advisers, where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• A successor business, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Our service providers may use personal data only to perform services for us.

5. How long we keep personal data

• Device and log information, including records of actions performed through the API and ChatGPT, is kept for up to 3 months.
• Account information and usage information are kept while your account is active and deleted within 3 months after you request account deletion.
• Billing and transaction records are kept for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
• Data may be kept longer only where required by law or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

6. Your choices and rights

• Access, correction, and export: request a copy of your personal data, or ask us to correct it.
• Account deletion: email hello@leadcontact.ai from the email address associated with your account. We will delete your account and personal data as described in Section 5.
• Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
• Cookies: block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect how the Services work.
• Google access: revoke LeadContact's access at any time in your Google Account settings.
• ChatGPT: disconnect LeadContact at any time in your ChatGPT settings.
• Chrome extension: uninstall it at any time from your browser.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@leadcontact.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Professional data in our database

To provide the Services, LeadContact maintains business contact information about professionals, such as name, job title, company, work email address, phone number, and public professional profile information. This data is obtained from publicly available sources and third-party data providers, and is used only to help our users find and contact professionals for legitimate business purposes.

If you would like to know whether we hold information about you, or want it removed from our database, email hello@leadcontact.ai with the details you want us to review. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following legal bases: to perform our contract with you; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services and in enabling business-to-business communication; to comply with legal obligations; and with your consent, where required (for example, for non-essential cookies).

9. International transfers

We and our service providers may process personal data in countries other than the one where you live. When we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected as described in this policy and as required by applicable law.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. Children

The Services are intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party websites

The Services may contain links to websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we will provide additional notice, such as by email.
